Our Lady’s Preservation Society was started August 11, 2004 when a group from the parish of Our Lady the Sacred Heart met with members of Preservation North Dakota. The initial officers elected were; President—-Sylvia Moore. Vice President—-Kevin Beauchamp. Treasurer—-Keith Benoit and Secretary—- Leo Beauchamp. A certificate of incorporation was issued to “OUR LADY’S PRESERVATION SOCIETY” on September 14, 2004 by Alvin A. Jaeger the Secretary of State for North Dakota. We are official and our ID# is 20,149,100. We are in the legal position to solicit funds. Pictured on the right is a print  of an oil painting by Sylvia Gratton Moore.

OUR LADY’S PRESERVATION SOCIEY  (OLPS) is an affiliate of Preservation North Dakota (PND) established August 11th 2004 for the sole purpose of  preserving Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Olga, North Dakota under PND’s guidelines. PND offers an affiliate  program to assist local preservation efforts in  starting a non-profit organization. For more information visit their web site at <www.prairieplaces.org>.  The affiliate program enables groups to become a legal entity in order to fund raise, own property, limit individual liability and provide donors with tax benefits.

                 BENEFITS INCLUDE: PND grants opportunities, coverage under PND’s 501© status (tax exemption), fundraising and grant writing assistance, technical and architectural assistance and advice and advocacy, access to non-profit bulk mail services, reduced PND membership rate, discounts on workshops and annual conferences/events, PND publications and newsletters, includes on the Prairie Places Lists for announcements and advocacy on legislative matters.

                 SERVICES              provided from PND include: assisting the affiliate organization with the registration forms including, bylaws, articles of incorporation, registered agent consent to serve, charitable solicitation license, (required to fund-raise in North Dakota) employer identification number, bulk mail permit application and general information about non-profit organizations in North Dakota.

                 PARTNERS in the system, designed to give local preservation alliances a larger voice on state and national preservation issues include; State Historical Society of North Dakota, National Trust for Historical Places-Denver, Partners for Sacred Places-Philadelphia, North Dakota Local History Council and Institute for Regional Studies at North Dakota State University.

                 Alliance with PND through the affiliate program is a free service with board membership at the affiliate level. Our Lady’s Preservation Society has been working for one year in preparation to preserve our beautiful building. Our officers and board members are listed above and will be entered at the end of this letter.

                                  OUR LADY’S PRESERVATION SOCIETY would like you to become a member of our organization. With your $20.00 annual membership, we will be able to preserve Our Lady of the Sacred Heart for many years as a place of worship, providing for special occasions such s weddings, funerals, baptisms, anniversaries or private services.

This $20. membership is an ANNUAL donation.  Reminders will be sent annually for your continued support.  The $100.00 sponsorship is also an annual donation. This entitles you to free advertisement 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and 365 days per year on our web-site.  The $250., $500., and $1,000. donations are categorized as a gift in memory or honor of your loved ones, or yourself.  These donations will be respected and honored on a plaque inside Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Olga, ND and listed on our web-site.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATIONS!
